Mastin Kipp, TheDailyLove.com Founder, On How A Tweet From Kim Kardashian Changed His Life (VIDEO)

WATCH: How A Tweet From Kim Kardashian Changed This Man's Life

Mastin Kipp, the founder of the pop culture blog, TheDailyLove.com, says his life changed forever with a single tweet from reality star Kim Kardashian. In this clip from "Super Soul Sunday" on OWN, Kipp tells Oprah how that fateful tweet played a huge role in his spiritual journey.

Kipp began TheDailyLove.com after struggling with addiction and losing his dream job in the music industry. It was a turning point for Kipp, who decided to get sober and start blogging to connect with other like-minded people.

In the video, he says launching the blog wasn't an easy process. "When we first started, it took me a year to get a thousand followers," he says.

While struggling to gain an audience, he says his life simultaneously seemed to crumble. "The relationship I was in fell apart," Kipp says. "The investors in my company pulled out because they lost money in the recession. My business partner and I broke up. My lower back went out. And I got gout in my big foot. All in one week. Oh, and my roommate gave me three-day notice that 'I'm moving out.'"

To make ends meet, Kipp moved into a tiny pool house. "I had done just enough [spiritual] practice to know that maybe this is some type of divine storm," he says.

Though the blog only had a small following, Kipp continued to work on it. "I felt this calling into The Daily Love," he says.

A month after moving into the pool house, Kipp says everything changed when Kim Kardashian tweeted: "I feel so inspired when I read tweets from @TheDailyLove. They make me feel lovey and positive!"

Kipp says Kardashian had one million followers at the time, many of which began to read TheDailyLove.com. "Overnight, we went from a thousand to 10,000 followers. It was like this confirmation of God going, 'I got you,'" Kipp says.

"God shows up in just the most unusual spaces sometimes," Oprah says.

"Super Soul Sunday" with Mastin Kipp, Marie Forleo and Gabrielle Bernstein airs Sunday, Sept. 1 at 11:30 a.m. ET on OWN.
