For Those Who Want To Relive Coachella This Weekend...

We hate to state the obvious, but it's been a long week. Between being featured on The Glitter Guide to finding out Beyonce ditched those run-the-world waves for a (as it turns out, damn cute) pixie cut, we can't take much more. Translation: Go ahead and take it easy tomorrow. Do a little free dancing or splurge for the Grizzly Bear show at Hollywood Forever, and plan on tumbling into bed with a night cap by midnight. Saturday we start fresh!

Keep reading for two big sample sales, cheap bites at Patina, and more...

Friday

Mid-Wilshire/Miracle Mile

Reformation Summer Sale

We love Reformation. Let us count the ways: (1) They use over 80% reclaimed (read: VINTAGE) materials in their styles, (2) everything is made locally, and (3) most pieces are either small batch or one-of-a-kind. So when we heard that the Reformation Summer Sale starts today (see: Deal Feed) with 70% off online and at their Melrose boutique, we had to dish. The early shopper gets the haul - we suggest heading there ASAP.

Downtown

Dance Downtown - Disco Edition

Free and open to the public, Dance Downtown happens every Friday during summer at the Music Center Plaza. What's different this time? One word: disco. Dance floor 'opens' at 6:30 pm.

West Hollywood

KCRW Presents: Superhumanoids, Vanaprasta, Mister Goodnite

Considering we had this Superhumanoid's remix of Local Natives on repeat for (literally) weeks on end, we can't even consider missing this show. That it's an album release really just ices the proverbial cake. Troubadour; 8 pm; $12.

Grizzly Bear + Regal Degal

These two bands, in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, at twilight. The price is steep, but we wouldn't suggest it if it wasn't worth it. Tickets here. 7 pm; $55.

Other Shows:

A Club Called Rhonda w/DJ Pierre, Iron Curtis, et al at Los Globos. 9 pm; RSVP here.

Dublab presents Mia Doi Todd & Dexter Story at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena. 8 pm; free.

Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett at the Hollywood Bowl. 8 pm; $17 and up.

Saturday

Palm Springs

Splash House

Wanna play pretend it's Coachella? And summer is just starting? Us too. If you can spare two days away from the city, head to Splash House for a two-day pool party at the Saguaro Hotel, featuring the likes of Anna Lunoe and our personal life soundtrack, Classixx. Pros: No dust, more shade. Possible cons: Let us know when you get back.

For those of you staying in the city proper...

Local label Line & Dot is holding a sample sale from 10 am-4 pm. Cash only. (The oldest stick-to-a-budget trick in the book.) Also: everything is up to 70% off. Ready set go.

Apparently Discovery Channel's Shark Week went down without our knowledge. Our 12-year old self is not pleased, but our 21-year old self can make it up at Cinco. Head to this west side eatery and grab two mahi mahi tacos and a tropical cocktail for a breezy $15. Valid through Sunday.

Downtown

L.A. Craft Beer Crawl

Annual bacchanalian of brews. You know the deal: A certain number of hours, a lot of beer. Casey's Irish Pub, 1 pm; $49. Get tickets here.

Patina Week

If dineLA gets a Restaurant Week, then why shouldn't Patina? Through Aug 17, you can do french fine dining for less with a 3- or 4-course prix-fixe dinner for a cool $45. Bon appetit.

Brentwood

Eat See Hear: Kingpin

Head to Brentwood for Showtime's outdoor summer movie screenings series Eat See Hear for a showing of the Farrelly brothers' Kingpin, which you may or may not remember from the fine year of 1996. Allow us to jog your memory: Woody Harrelson, Bill Murray. Doors at 5:30 pm, music at 7 pm, movie at 8:30. Tickets here; $10.

Shows:

Smith Westerns at the El Rey Theatre. 8 pm; $20.

Jessie Ware at The Observatory. 8 pm; $25.

Yost Saturdays: One More Time, A Tribute to Daft Punk. 10 pm; $15.

White Fence, Jessica Pratt, Jonathan Rado at the Troubadour. 8 pm; $14.

Cloud Control, Tapioca and The Flea at the Bootleg. 8 pm; $15.

Bart B More at Sutra, Orange County. 9 pm; $20.

DJ Quik at The Canyon in Agoura Hills. 9 pm; $39.

Sunday

Downtown

L.A. Weekly Pancake Breakfast

Yes, we are asking you to roll out of bed a full hour before noon, but in exchange, you get (1) pancakes, (2) to rub shoulders with the tastemakers behind LA's alternative weekly, and (3) to support Project Angelfood. At Vibiana on Main. 11 am-2 pm; $30. Get tickets here.

If you've brunched to your heart's content by noon, head to the Downtown Independent for a free film screening from 12-1 pm. Put on by OMG Everywhere, a group of LA-based directors and arts community members who throw annual free film making workshops for kids, the screening will include final works from this year's workshops.

Chipotle at the DTLA Farmers' Market

In support of National Farmers' Market Week (we like this already), Chipotle will be handing out $5 tokens redeemable on food at the Historic Downtown Farmers' Market, as well as conducting salsa samplings. As R. Kelly once said: fiesta, fiesta.

West LA/Westwood

Satirical genius Oscar Wilde's quintessential comedy of manners, Lady Windermere's Fan, comes to the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library at UCLA. 6 pm; free.

We prefer to stay in with some wine and our HBO Go on a Sunday evening, but for the adventurous/superhuman:

Yeasayer at the El Rey. 8 pm; $25.

IHeartComix with Metro Area, Jerome LOL at Drai's Hollywood. 10 pm; $20.

Medicine, Tropic of Cancer at the Echo. 10 pm; $12.
