Oprah's Jet Interview: 'The Biggest Fallacy On Earth Is That You Can Be Anything That You Want To Be'

Oprah Has A Message For The Haters

Oprah isn't just a TV tycoon, she's also a movie star (they don't call her the queen of all media for nothing). And the 59-year-old is reminding us of her silver screen skills while starring in "Lee Daniels' The Butler" -- her first feature film in 15 years.

In celebration of that milestone and more, Jet magazine tapped Oprah to grace its September issue. Dressed in a red dress and a beautiful smile, OWN's CEO looks chic and conveys plenty of confidence on the cover.

Inside the issue, Jet's editor-in-chief Mitzi Miller got Oprah to open up about her new film, the real reason OWN had such a disappointing start, why she hasn't done more to help the African American community and feelings about other celebs trying to take her crown.

To that last point, Oprah had this to say: “The biggest fallacy on earth is that you can be anything that you want to be. You can only be what you were meant to be.” In other words, you can try to top me -- but it's not going to happen.

"Interviewing Oprah was an amazing experience," Miller told The Huffington Post. I expected Ms. Winfrey to be insightful but her candor and wit made our conversation that much more fun. She didn't shy away from my hard questions or pull any punches in return. I continue to be inspired by her."

And inspiration abounds throughout the issue. Beyond Oprah's candid feature, she also dishes out 7 life lessons that have helped her become the first Black female billionaire. Break out your highlighters!

The issue hits newsstands Monday, August 12. Here's a look at the cover and check out Ms. Winfrey's amazing style evolution in the slideshow below.
