The first "American Horror Story: Coven" teaser is here!
Of course, it reveals very little about the upcoming third season of the FX anthology series, but let's break it down.
The teaser (above), titled "Detention," features creepy vocals singing "The House of the Rising Sun," a small dog and girls stuck to walls. The caption on the official "American Horror Story" Facebook reads: "This October ... lift your spirits."
"American Horror Story: Coven" features many returning "AHS" players such as Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Denis O'Hare and Frances Conroy and some notable new players as well, like Patti Lupone, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Emma Roberts.
Lange will play a witch, Fiona, and Paulson will play her daughter, Cordelia on "American Horror Story: Coven," which will move around in time.
"All these women are playing very iconic, very strong female characters," "AHS" producer Tim Minear told reporters at TCA. "The cast is off-the-hook amazing. FX is often thought of as a boys' network, but if you look at this murderer's row of actresses, this is going to be the most friendly place for women on television this season, until we start doing that thing we do that's not friendly."
