Andrew Jenks' 'It's About A Girl': Episode 5

WATCH: Is Being Single Really This Lonely?

"It's About A Girl" is a new web series from filmmaker Andrew Jenks, charting the experience of looking for love in your twenties -- and what happens when your expectations don't quite match up to reality. A new episode will be posted here on HuffPost Women each week.

The protagonist's fantasy in the fifth episode of "It's About A Girl" is all about the past. We see videos from his and his girlfriend's (quite adorable) childhoods. The clips of each character growing up are compared, showing how their individual life experiences have merged into a shared one. Yet the protagonist's reality is his and his alone.

In a Q&A with the Huffington Post, Jenks spoke about how he relies on music and imagery to convey a message, as he does in episode five. He said:

I tried to remind myself this was just a nice love story -- nothing bigger than that. So I thought simplicity was important. Less is usually more. I thought the right music and imagery would be more than enough to tell this story.

Watch the full episode above, and check in next week for the sixth installment.
