Expect plenty of flower power (and grass) as San Francisco celebrates one of its native sons this weekend at Jerry Day, a celebration of late Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia. The Nihonmachi Street Fair, one of the oldest annual street fairs in San Francisco, is back for two days at Japantown and Stern Grove Festival enters the last month of its 2013 season with Shuggie Otis. The Summer Gardening Fair arrives at San Francisco Botanical Gardens and viral Internet comic Andy Milonakis debuts his first art show at RVCA.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Japantown hosts a free street fair for the second weekend in a row, this time to celebrate Asian and Pacific American communities in the Bay Area at the Nihonmachi Street Fair.

SATURDAY

Internet and MTV funny man Andy Milonakis debuts his first art show, "Two Months Rent," at RVCA on Haight Street with a series of canvas paintings.

Plant enthusiasts gather to share ideas, plants and plant-related items with representatives of local horticultural and conservation organizations and activities for children.

SUNDAY

Local bands, Deadheads and hippie holdouts gather at Jerry Garcia Amphitheater in McLaren Park to celebrate the life and times of Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia.

Shuggie Otis brings a blast of 70s soft rock to Stern Grove with his classic "Strawberry Letter 23" and more.
