Hoda Kotb Being Eyed At 'The View': Report

Hoda Reportedly Being Eyed At 'The View'

Hoda Kotb is being eyed to join the team at "The View," Page Six said on Monday.

In a report that was strenuously denied by all parties concerned, the gossip column wrote that "The View" has already reached out to Kotb as a potential replacement for Joy Behar, who is leaving the show in August.

Kotb is, of course, more than prepared for such a job. She has the news chops needed to talk politics and current events, and her time with Kathie Lee Gifford on "Today" has surely left her ready for anything that could come down the pike on "The View."

Will it happen? Well, ABC told the Post there was "absolutely zero truth" to the rumor, and NBC would probably roll out the big bucks to keep Kotb around. But it's the latest in an intermittent string of reports this year about Kotb's career plans. Perhaps not coincidentally, her contract with NBC expires this fall, making it a perfect time to show just how much she's valued in the wider TV world.
