Jennifer Shaw, Georgia Waitress, Returns $5,000 To Customer (VIDEO)

When a waitress in Savannah, Ga., found an envelope filled with $5,000 in cash, she immediately decided to return it.

She even knew exactly which customers had left it behind, WTOC reports.

Jennifer Shaw, who works at Mercer's Steak and Seafood on Wilmington Island, told WTOC that the money was left in an envelope by a group of men in one of the restaurant's booths, and the customer rewarded Shaw with $100 for returning it.

The restaurant's owner Mark Egan told the channel, "Very rarely do people lose things in a restaurant facility like this, but when it happens it makes you feel wonderful that our staff are trustworthy."

Shaw isn't the only good Samaritan to return lost cash lately. Just last month, an unemployed teacher found $20,000 in cash on the side of the road, and brought it back to the bank where it belonged. In May, an Illinois man found $8,000 outside of a Chicago-area bank and immediately returned it.
