'Joe Rogan Questions Everything': Bigfoot Evidence May Exist In The DNA (VIDEO)

'Joe Rogan Questions Everything': Bigfoot DNA?

Joe Rogan is more than a UFC commentator. An actor and comedian as well, Rogan has found comedy from questioning the world around him. And now that curiosity and skepticism has landed him a new show on Syfy. The premiere of "Joe Rogan Questions Everything" saw him looking into the question of whether Bigfoot really exists.

He came up with some pretty compelling evidence along the way. Our knowledge of DNA has advanced tremendously in recent decades, and putting that knowledge toward the myth of Bigfoot provided some interesting results. Dr. David Swenson, a biochemist, examined DNA that was allegedly from a Bigfoot.

“There is an unknown animal that appears to be some kind of a hybrid between a human and something else," Dr. Swenson said.

“You read this DNA sequencing and you’re like, this could be a real animal?” Rogan asked him. Swenson was fairly certain that DNA that complete and complex could not be faked.

While the show didn't elaborate on what samples Dr. Swenson was looking at, there was a study earlier this year of about 100 different samples that was released. As expected, the results were met with skepticism. But the hunt for Bigfoot will likely never stop -- unless, of course, it's found.

Spike TV is even offering a reward, airing a new show that offers $10 million to anyone who can catch Bigfoot. While Joe Rogan isn't on board for that one, which premieres in 2014, Dean Cain is set to host. Cain may be most famous for the role of Superman on "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," but he also hosted "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" a decade ago, so he has some familiarity with the unexplained.

"Joe Rogan Questions Everything" explores a variety of topics and airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy.

TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser.
