11-Year-Old Happy With Radical Amputation Surgery

Last summer, Bailey Moody, 11, had to make a tough decision. The aspiring athlete was facing an aggressive and rare form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma. In an attempt to preserve as much of her mobility as possible, she and her family opted for a rare form of amputation called rotationplasty, in which the knee joint is removed and the ankle is reattached to function as a knee joint.

A year later, she says she's still happy with her decision. "I think that God's been a big part in that," she says in the video above. "He's told me, 'This is my plan for you'... and I've accepted that."
