Nike Apologizes For T-Shirt Mistake

A $32 T-shirt that appeared on Nike's website has officially been pulled because it used an image of South Carolina to represent the Carolina Panthers. What's the problem? The Carolina Panthers are from North Carolina. Whoops.

Here is the shirt:

The shirt placed both the Panthers team logo and North Carolina's state abbreviation "NC" on top of a rather large graphic image of South Carolina. Nike is now acknowledging the error.

"A small quantity of incorrect Carolina Panthers tee shirts were recently made available for sale. This product should not have been sold. We have removed it from sale and apologize for the error," said Nike's North America media relations director in an email to The Huffington Post.

Nike also apologized to consumers last year after offending some Irish Americans with its Black and Tan shoes.
