Mike Matheny Ejected After Cardinals-Cubs Game (VIDEO)

Cardinals Manager Ejected AFTER Game

St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny was furious after the final out of the Cubs' shutout win on Thursday and directed his anger toward home plate umpire Dan Bellino.

With two men on base for St. Louis and two outs in the ninth inning, Alfonso Soriano caught a low line drive to end the game. After the out, Matheny left the dugout and walked right up to Bellino. Just seconds later, the skipper was ejected and needed to be restrained.

Matheny told reporters after the game that he was upset with Bellino for taking off his mask on a called third strike earlier in the inning.

"It had more to do with the umpire and how he mistreated one of our players, with Adams,” Matheny said, via the Associated Press. “It had nothing to do with the call. It had everything to do with going too far."

Surprisingly, this isn't the first time this season that someone was ejected after the game had ended.
