Woman Walks Into Apple Store With Apparent Device Strapped To Her Chest, Asks For Help (VIDEO)

Terrifying Apple Store Mystery Captured On Video

Police are searching for a woman who walked into an Apple store in South Florida, showed an employee what appeared to be a device strapped to her chest, asked for help, and then left.

The woman told the employee she was in trouble but could be harmed if anyone called the police, according to a report from the Boca Raton Police Department.

The scary incident occurred Tuesday afternoon at the Apple Store in the Boca Raton Town Center mall. Despite the summer heat, the woman was wearing a large red hoodie sweatshirt as surveillance video captured her entering the Apple store and walking directly to the back, where she attempted to enter the men's restroom.

After an employee pointed out it was the wrong restroom, she apologized and entered the woman's restroom. Twenty seconds later, she walked back into the store and entered a rear storage area where she was confronted by an Apple employee. (View surveillance video provided by police in the video above.)

Police say that's when the woman unzipped her hoodie, showing off a small black object strapped to her chest. She asked for help, but told the employee not to call police or she would be harmed. She then left the store, and surveillance cameras again picked her up as she left the mall.

She was last seen running through the parking lot, and appeared to be wearing some type of audio earpiece.

Multiple police officers responded to the mall, but couldn't find any trace of the woman, who was approximately 5' 8", possibly Hispanic, and wearing an LSW hoodie, red hat and black leggings.

Anyone with any information about the incident or the woman's identity is urged to call Detective Jeff Stepp at 561-620-6196 or 561-289-9334 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
