Philippe Starck And Riko Redesign Prefab 'P.A.T.H.' Homes, Bringing Modern Style To Modular Houses (PHOTOS)

You know his name from many collaborations, but we never thought he'd lend his talents to this.

We're big fans of the environmentally friendly prefabricated homes, but many times they can come off looking a little...let's just say, "less than high quality." But since we've seen designer Philippe Starck and engineering company Riko's P.A.T.H. models (the acronym stands for "Prefabricated Accessible Technological Homes"), it's clear that these off-site manufactured dwellings can be super modern and customizable, which makes us rethink our stance on modular living.

According to the website, there will be 34 models to choose from and nearly all the features can be hand-picked by the homeowner. Not only are there different options for the amount of rooms and levels, but you can also choose from a variety of fixtures, floor finishes and even bathroom tiling. Similar to that of Blu Homes, another eco-friendly pre-fab company, each one of these has a sleek exterior with an cool outdoor space.

Of course pricing of these abodes vary depending on style and location, but if you're interested, head over to Starck with Riko. Click through our slideshow to see these homes. H/T Design Boom.
