'Toddlers & Tiaras': Choosing Pageants Over Having A House

Maddi's parents made a decision about their 2-year-old daughter on "Toddlers & Tiaras." They decided that it was more important to have her competing in pageants than it was to have a home of their own. So they lived at Maddi's grandparents house.

“It’s easier to do pageants if you’re not paying rent," said her mother, Treshanda.

Maddie's grandfather lamented that none of the kids are paying any rent. But grandma said she's keeping all the receipts. "I’m going to start handing them the receipts so they can hand some of that back to me.”

Even worse, the investment choice doesn't seem to be paying off. Treshanda was none too pleased with her daughter's first-runner-up performance.

“We didn’t get a crown, so there’s nothing to throw out the window," she said. Presumably, the winder of grandma and grandpa's house.
