America picked their first MVP of the season on "Big Brother," and it wasn't that big of a surprise. In a twist this season, America will select an MVP each week and that person gets to secretly put a third houseguest on the block. The first winner of the season was Elissa, the sister of former winner Rachel Reilly. As it's too early in the game to really asses gameplay, it looks like that infamous connection helped her out.
“Oh my gosh. Thank you so much America," Elissa said upon receiving the news. "I’ve never won anything in my life, ever. And I feel so ... thankful.”
She used her power to nominate David, who is seen as a big physical threat by McCrae and his alliance, The Moving Company. Everything was smooth sailing until McCrae tried to throw the Veto Competition. He tried ... and failed. It was a spelling competition, and he thought his eight letter word -- "delivery" -- would be beaten. Alas, it wasn't.
Feeling pressure from the house, he felt he had to put Elissa on the block. She felt betrayed, but McCrae says she's not the target. He might need to spend more time assuring her of that than telling America.
Zap2It has been following the Live Feeds, so they had more insight than television viewers as to what was going on in that Veto Ceremony. "When McCrae said that he wants Elissa evicted during the Power of Veto ceremony, it was pure theater designed for the other side of the house," they wrote. "People like Spencer, Howard, Amanda, Judd, Helen and Andy had already been informed of the fact that McCrae was using the PoV on Candice, but they'd all vote out David anyway ... So I call B.S. on Big Brother 15 for some truly awful editing.”
Should CBS do a more honest edit for people who watch the live feeds, or can they manufacture their reality drama however they won on the actual episodes? It all culminates in Wednesday night's live eviction at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
Starting next week, CBS is shuffling the "BB" schedule a bit. New episodes will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET, Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET.
