What "Private Practice" star Kate Walsh has been practicing is mostly patience. After three years of on-and-off trying to sell her Los Felix house, the actress sold her Los Feliz mansion for $4.675 million. She put it on the market in May 2010 for $4.295 million -- suggesting that like most things in life, timing is everything. She paid $4.75 million for the home in 2007.
The gated Spanish-style four-bedroom home was built in 1928 and retains many of the original details, including a tiled mail entry and grand staircase. There are also stenciled beamed ceilings and arched windows.
The 5,940 square-foot home has five fireplaces, a wine room and an oval inset ceiling in the formal dining room. It sits on about a third of an acre and has a pool and spa, pool house, outdoor kitchen and an alfresco dining area.
Walsh plays Dr. Addison Montgomery on "Private Practice," which spun off her role from "Grey's Anatomy."
According to Redfin, Walsh's former home is across the street from a newly constructed house bought by "Dexter" actor Michael C. Hall for $3.825 million in May.
Barry Sloane and Marc Silver of Sotheby’s International Realty were the listing agents. Jon Grauman of Partners Trust represented the buyer.

UPDATE: A previous version of this article cited Redfin as saying that Michael C. Hall had sold the property, which in fact he had purchased. Redfin has updated their site to reflect the error.
