'Teen Wolf': Derek Sacrifices Himself To Save Teacher

After allowing Boyd and Cora to escape last week on "Teen Wolf," the gang had to figure out how to track them down this week or the whole town could be in danger. This led to an unexpected alliance when Scott convinced Allison's father, Chris, to help them.

Scott wanted to find a way to capture Boyd and Cora without killing them. All they'd have to do is hold them until the sun came up and they reverted back to human form. But these were starved and vicious werewolves who proved more powerful than even Derek.

So they came up with the idea of trapping them in the boiler room at the school. It should be able to contain and hold them until sunup. There was just one problem. No one should have been there, but one teacher was burning the midnight oil. As luck -- bad luck, that is -- would have it, she was in the boiler room. It doubled as a supply closet.

Somehow she missed all the noise when the werewolves were trapped in there, but Scott quickly heard her third heartbeat and knew there was a problem. So Derek went in to face off against his daughter and Boyd to save the teacher's life. All he had to do was hold out until the sun rose. He made it, but just barely.

As Hollywood Life described it, Derek let himself be Cora and Boyd's scratching post. Buddy TV noted that the Alpha pack is doing the hard sell to recruit Derek. “Way harsh hazing ritual, bro!" they wrote. "Whatever happened to streaking? Derek would be good at that; he almost never has on clothes anyway.”

And then there's the matter of the virgin sacrifices plaguing Beacon Hills. But that's a struggle for another day on "Teen Wolf," Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
