Chris Bosh Buzzer Beaten: Dunk Attempt Comes Too Late, Followed By Finger Twirl (VIDEO/GIF)

WATCH: Classic Bosh Fail

As ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gundy noted during the first half of Game 4 of the 2013 NBA Finals, "someone introduced Chris Bosh to the paint." Up next, the third member of the Miami Heat's "Big Three" might need someone to explain how the game clock works.

On his final foray into the paint during the first half, Bosh ran out of time as he attempted to throw down a dunk. With the final seconds of the second quarter ticking away, the much-maligned Bosh left behind Tim Duncan with a pump fake and then went at the rim. Rather than drop in a short shot to the break the 49-49 tie, Bosh went for the emphatic two-handed slam.

Bad idea.

While Bosh was rising toward the rim and winding up for what he must have thought was going to be a highlight reel play, time expired. The buzzer sounded, the red light on the backboard turned on and then Bosh threw down. Upon realizing that his shot was being waived off, all Bosh could manage was this meek finger twirl, perhaps signaling for a video review.
