'The Walking Dead' Season 4: Greg Nicotero Teases 'Best Season Yet' (VIDEO)

'The Walking Dead' Season 4 Is The 'Best Season Yet'

Buckle your seat belts, "Walking Dead" fans. Season 4 is going to be the "best season yet," according to zombie makeup master Greg Nicotero, who is directing the premiere episode. "It's bigger than any script we've done before," he added.

In the video above, Nicotero and more of the minds behind the AMC zombie drama opened up about what was to come in "The Walking Dead" Season 4.

"We have an obligation to our audience to keep it fresh," Nicotero says. "We have some new people coming in that I'm really excited about. There's some great character turns. There's a lot of really good twists that will really delight the fans ... Our rocket is poised on the launchpad and we still have so much more to go."

Executive producer Robert Kirkman has also revealed some details about what's to come in "The Walking Dead" Season 4.

"We’re going to see a very different Rick (Andrew Lincoln), but one of his main goals is to manage this situation with Carl (Chandler Riggs) and see if he can bring him back from this darkness that's crept into him," Kirkman told IGN. "Whether or not he’s able to do that, we’ll have to see. But this is a big change in the character of Carl, but it’s something that’s going to be weighing heavily on Rick next season."

"The Walking Dead" Season 4 premieres in October on AMC.
