WATCH: Media Stars Shine In Video Celebrating Cyndi Lauper

In celebration of Cyndi Lauper's first-ever Tony Award nomination, the "Kinky Boots" team produced a video featuring media and Broadway stars dancing with one of the musical's most prized possessions.

Lauper wrote the music and lyrics for "Kinky Boots," the Broadway musical that earned 13 Tony Award nominations earlier this year. Media figures including Whoopi Goldberg, Mika Brzezinski, Rosie O'Donnell, Kelly Ripa, Katie Couric, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb lip-synced their way through Lauper's iconic song, "Girls Just Want To Have Fun," while dancing with a thigh-high kinky boot — and it was every bit as amazing as it sounds.

Goldberg belted out the lyrics in her dressing room, Couric shook her groove thing on her set and Ripa... well, she got really into it.

Their dance moves were probably our favorite part. We saw Rosie and Couric jamming on the boot like air guitars, while Gifford used it to hit Kotb over the head. Brzezinski jumped around beneath glitter and what looked like leftover Christmas decorations, and Ripa's lip-syncing skills were super impressive. Members of the "Kinky Boots" cast, including Billy Porter, and cast members from "Cinderella," "The Lion King" and more also participated.
