Rick Perry Chats With Oldest Living World War II Veteran

Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) stopped by on Memorial Day for a special visit with Richard Overton, the oldest living World War II veteran.

Perry arrived at Overton's home in Austin, Texas bearing gifts of whiskey and a challenge coin, which is given to some veterans in recognition of their service. The two men shared war stories on Overton's front porch.

Overton is America's oldest veteran. He served in the South Pacific during World War II from 1942 to 1945. The 107-year-old enjoys up to 12 cigars daily along with whiskey in his coffee.
