Chicago Spring Weather 2013: Warmest Day In Nearly 8 Months Hits With Tuesday Highs Pushing Past 80

Blast Of Warm Weather To Push Temps Past 80

Chicago will see its warmest weather in nearly eight months when temps are forecast to rise above 80 degrees on Tuesday.

The Weather Channel forecasts a high of 83 for Tuesday followed by another warm — but rainy — first day of May on Wednesday.

The welcome spring warm up has been a long time coming. Prior to Tuesday, the last warm-weather high was September 12 of last year when the mercury hit 86 degrees.

Sadly, the warm weather will taper off farther down the road, with temperatures sinking back into the 50s by Friday. More rain is in the forecast as well, even as counties outside Chicago remain under flood warnings.
