Gary Busey Talks Getting Fired From 'Apprentice' On 'Late Night'

Gary Busey dropped by the "Late Night" studios to talk about his recent firing from "Celebrity Apprentice." Of course, as this is Gary Busey, the conversation was anything but ordinary.

"Look how darn good you look," he said.

"You talking to yourself or me?” Jimmy Fallon asked him.

Busey pointed into the camera. “I’m talking to you in there," and then to Fallon. "But you’re right here so you heard it twice.”

At this point, Fallon crumpled up his notes for the interview and threw them away. Busey can't be tamed. Better to let him go and see what he come up with. Like this "Buseyism" for Jimmy -- an acronym for fart that also defines it: feeling a rectal transmission.

And -- because why not? -- Busey sang karaoke to some of his own quotes from his time on "Celebrity Apprentice." And while he was entertaining as ever, critics felt his firing from the show was inevitable. He's bizarre enough to keep around for awhile, but he's not worthy of winning the show.

After getting fired, though, Busey had plenty to tell the Hollywood Reporter -- perhaps it was the lack of cameras to distract him that kept him on point with them. He said he was betrayed by his teammates, has no regrets about doing the show again, and now that he’s gone the ratings will probably drop.

"Celebrity Apprentice" continues, without Gary Busey, on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. Tune in to "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
