'Vegas' Canceled: CBS Did Not Order A Season 2

CANCELED

"Vegas" has been canceled.

CBS decided not to renew the freshman series for a Season 2. The network's decision to cancel "Vegas" comes as no surprise. The series, which stars big name actors Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis, has had disappointing ratings by CBS' standards.

In February, Chiklis tried to pacify fans' fears about "Vegas" being canceled:

But the audience hasn't grown. "Vegas" debuted in September with a 2.5 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and 14.85 million viewers total, but the numbers have decreased ever since. In March, CBS moved "Vegas" to the deathly Friday timeslot and the ratings have fallen even further.

CBS also canceled "CSI: NY," "Made In Jersey" and "Partners" in its 2012-2013 season.
