You know we love best-dressed lists here at HuffPost Style. We're experts on the subject, of course, but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate the opinions of our peers.
Our friends at Vanity Fair put together a Best-Dressed Pregnant Ladies list as part of their International Best-Dressed Challenge, and we were hardly surprised to see Kate Middleton, our favorite royal mommy-to-be, as its winner. Vanity Fair explains:
At every life stage—courtship, marriage, and now pregnancy—her classic, insta-iconic pieces have inspired and influenced the wardrobes of sweethearts, brides, and mothers-to-be, respectively. The duchess conceals her (bare minimum of a) bump with three-quarter-length coats and short skirts that also help to draw attention to enviably still-svelte stems.
We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Kate has led the pregnant pack in a series of stylish coats and patterned tights, never forgetting to include her signature smile.
Topping Vanity Fair's list is no mean feat in 2013, when celebrity pregnancy seems a bigger trend than red hair (well, almost). Huge stars like Kim Kardashian and Halle Berry have taken unexpected fashion risks while expecting -- but it seems Vanity Fair appreciates Kate's classic approach the most.
