Say it ain’t so! After eight long years, could Chilean-born Cote de Pablo be planning her exit from NCIS? Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there are rumors her character may be getting the axe.

Cote has won huge praise for her role as Ziva David on the long-running procedural drama. And she’s earned both an Imagen Award and an ALMA Award for her work.

But now, de Pablo’s character is heading into dangerous territory. And according to producer Gary Glassberg, her latest story arc will lead into an explosive season finale.

“[We’re sending] Ziva off, with Tony, on a clue trail that leads them to Berlin,” he told Yahoo. “This arc connects into the story that becomes the season ender and dovetails into what will propel us into season 11.”

The biggest cliffhanger clue may have to do with Cote’s current contract negotiations. Apparently she has yet to lock in her 2104 NCIS deal, which could be very telling come season finale time.
