The Doors' John Densmore Says Jim Morrison Might Have Been Clean And Sober Today

WATCH: What Might The Doors' Jim Morrison Be Like Today?

The Doors' frontman Jim Morrison is as famous for music he created as he is for his untimely death at 27. While his death was originally believed to be caused by heart failure, speculation has continued over the years as to whether or not the rocker overdosed on heroin.

Morrison's former bandmate John Densmore visited HuffPost Live yesterday to talk about Jim Morrison's legacy.

"Jim was one of those kamikazes who had creativity and self-destruction in the same package, damn it," Densmore said. "That's what I love about him."

Desmore says he's often asked if he thinks Morrison would be clean and sober if he were alive today, and he's come to believe that might have been a possibility. To hear why, watch the video above.
