'The Voice': Shakira Upset She Didn't Turn Around For Latina Artist

It was almost heartbreak for Karina Iglesias on "The Voice." It came down to the last moments of her performance before any of the coaches turned their chairs. In the end, though, she got Blake Shelton and Adam Levine to turn around. She was hoping for Shakira, who instantly regretted not turning around. She hadn't realized Karina was a Latina artist, despite the fact that she was singing in Spanish.

"Oh no! Why didn’t I push my button? I want to die!" Shakira lamented in Spanish, but Adam wasn't having that.

"You can’t speak, no! Don’t you pull out your Spanish right now!" he told her. When she kept going, he told her, "Cállate!" That translates to "Shut up!" but according to Adam, Shakira had earlier told him it meant, "I love you!"

Hollywood Life found the exchange -- including Adam's quick hug to Shakira after telling her to shut up -- "absolutely hilarious." She chose Adam's team, which Wetpaint thought was perfect for her rocker vibe.

The blind auditions continue on "The Voice," Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
