Westboro Baptist Church April Fools' Joke Is Funny, In A Terrible, Homophobic Sort Of Way

Westboro Tweets April Fools' Joke

Is the Westboro Baptist Church developing a sense of humor? Well ...

The notorious anti-gay hate group got into the spirit of April Fools' Day on Monday with a post on @WBCSays, one of its mouthpieces on Twitter.

The uncharacteristic message of acceptance was evidently just a prank. We're certain the WBC still believes vehemently that people who do not subscribe to its particular brand of ultra-conservative, hate-filled Christianity are doomed to the fiery pits of hell.

We're also sure this was no hacking incident (a not unheard-of event in the WBC's social media history). Indeed, @WBCSays tweeted out another April Fools' Day post on Monday, in addition to its usual helping of Bible verse quotations, messages of intolerance and links to press coverage.
