The Postal Service (a.k.a. Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello) are releasing "Give Up," their only LP, on April 9, and they've added a few fixings to soften the blow of asking you to pay up for an album you probably already own.
First came "A Tattered Line of String," the first "new" song the band released. Gibbard and Tamborello have now followed up with "Turn Around," a track which offers more of what Postal Service fans have come to expect from the indie-electro duo.
Gibbard continued to deny that a reunion would ever take place right up until news broke that they were, in fact, hitting the road for an international stadium and festival tour. From our earlier reporting:
Despite building a fiercely loyal audience on the strength of 2003's "Give Up," Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (DNTEL) have spent the past decade denying a reunion would ever take place. In the weeks leading up to the band's announcement, Gibbard told Spinner that there were "no plans" for Postal Service.
