Stars are real people too, right? Apparently so, if Jennifer Lopez's latest endeavor says anything. The singer is embarking on what has become known as one of the most competitive processes in the country: getting your children into an elite private school.

TMZ reports that Lopez is interviewing to get her 5-year-old twins, Emme and Max, into a fancy private school in the Los Angeles area. One stop on Tuesday found Lopez courting the prestigious Buckley School for the twins, who are slated to begin kindergarten in the fall. Many consider the school, located in the San Fernando Valley, to be one of the best in the Los Angeles area.

Will Lopez's fame -- or, moreover, her wealth -- be able to snag her children spots at the school? It's not out of the realm of possibility, as the Buckley School is a hot spot for Hollywood's finest. Its alumni register reads like a who's-who checklist at the latest Tinseltown gathering: Rob and Kim Kardashian, Matthew Perry, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Bret Easton Ellis, Rashida Jones, Laura Dern, Paul Thomas Anderson, Tatyana Ali and more. Paris Jackson currently attends.

That means Lopez will be paying $31,345 per child in tuition and fees from kindergarten through fifth grade, according to the school's website. During grades six through 12, she'll pay a whopping $36,335 per child.

It's interesting to think of the 43-year-old singer donning a pantsuit and waltzing into schools for interviews. Looks like the tables may have turned on the former "American Idol" judge, who this time will have her own stamina assessed -- or at least that of her children. We already know she's made it to Hollywood, so let's just hope she isn't eliminated after round six.
