NFL Richest Contracts: Joe Flacco, Calvin Johnson Among Highest-Paid Players

Paid In Full: Highest-Paid NFL Players

Before the 2012 season, Joe Flacco turned down a contract offer from the Baltimore Ravens that would have paid him approximately $15 million per season. He then went out earned himself the richest contract in NFL history by leading the Ravens to a Super Bowl win.

"I thought I was worth more and didn't really see any circumstances where I wouldn't end up getting paid more than what they were willing to give me at that point," Flacco said on Monday after signing a six-year contract worth $120.6 million.

Last year the New Orleans Saints inked Drew Brees to a five-year, $100 million contract. Until Flacco signed his deal, Brees' $20 million per year average salary was the highest in the history of the NFL.

Given the upward trend in contract figures, the 28-year-old out of Delaware realizes that he might not hold the title of highest-paid player in NFL history any longer than Brees did.

"I'm sure in a couple of months from now, someone is going to sign a deal, and you guys are going to be talking to them about how they are the highest paid guy in NFL history," Flacco said.

But for the time being, Flacco tops the NFL's highest-paid players list. Here are some of the other players .
