South by Southwest is honoring Latinos for creating a social revolution online.

The organizers will honor emerging and established voices in the Latino community online with Revolucionario awards in three categories:

•“The New Americano,” for those influencing Latinos online
•“The Mobilizer,” for those who use social media to spur action around a cause
•“The Innovator,” to recognize those who redefine how Latinos are reached online

The awards will be judged by some of the top names in Latino media, including journalist Maria Hinojosa, columnist Esther Cepeda, and CEO of Voto Latino Maria Teresa Kumar.

This year’s nominees include Axel Caballero of Cuéntame, “El Librotraficante” Tony Diaz, celebrity Latino political advocate Eva Longoria and the news site Latino Rebels. Check out the full list of nominees on The Social Revolución’s Facebook page.
