Police are questioning two teenagers in connection to a disturbing YouTube video showing two young girls forced to fight in a New York City park.

NBC reports the mother of the 7-year-old girl-- seen wearing a black coat and crying at the end of the shocking footage-- recognized her daughter in a news report and went to the police:

Investigators said the teenage sister of the other girl in the video, the 6-year-old girl in the white coat, instigated the fight.

Police said the 17-year-old sister apparently felt disrespected when the 12-year-old sister of the girl in the black coat accidentally bumped into an older teen while picking up candy that had been thrown on the ground at Edgar Allan Poe Park in the Bronx a week prior to the filmed fight.

The 12-year-old's punishment was to be forced to watch her 7-year-old sister get beaten in a forced fight.

The fight reportedly took place about two months ago during winter break.

Throughout the video, onlookers can be heard egging the girls on, encouraging them to slap and punch each other.

Officials say arrests are imminent.
