Best Original Song: Adele's 'Skyfall' Wins 2013 Oscar

Adele's 'Skyfall' Wins Best Original Song

The 85th annual Academy Awards were held Sunday evening and "Skyfall" took home the award for Best Original Song.

Earlier in the show, Adele performed the title track from the latest James Bond movie. Other songs up for nomination were performed as well including "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from "Ted," sung by Norah Jones. "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables" was also performed as a part of a tribute to musicals of the last decade.
Also nominated was "Before My Time" from "Chasing Ice" and "Pi's Lullaby" from "Life of Pi."

Adele's "Skyfall" was indeed the favorite for Best Original Song. She took home the Golden Globe award for the song.

The 2013 Oscars also featured a performance by Barbra Streisand. It was announced this week that Kristen Chenoweth and Seth MacFarlance would close the show with a musical performance.

The 85th annual Academy Awards were hosted by MacFarlane at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.
