Kevin Durant Fall: Thunder Star Falls Awkwardly In Loss To Heat (VIDEO)

WATCH: Durant Keeps Playing After Hard Fall

As if another loss to the Miami Heat weren't painful enough, Kevin Durant suffered an awkward fall on Thursday night. With his Oklahoma City Thunder already trailing by double digits in the first quarter, the four-time NBA scoring champ crashed the boards after a missed shot from teammate Nick Collison. He then went crashing to the hardwood.

After getting a hand to the ball, tipping it out to a teammate, Durant made mid-air contact with Chris Andersen of the Heat and then fell hard. Unable to brace himself before impact, Durant came down hard on his left shoulder. After being looked over by team trainers, he kept playing.

The Thunder would never dig themselves out of that first quarter hole but not for lack of production from Durant. He would finish with 40 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one sore shoulder in the 110-100 loss.

After the game, Durant tweeted about his spill.
