'Downton Abbey' Home: Estate Valued At $400 Million

How Much Is Downton Abbey Worth?

It's hard to put a price on the home that's known as Downton Abbey.

The estate featured on the Masterpiece series, which is modeled after Highclere Castle in England, the real-life home of the aristocratic Carnarvon family, has hosted numerous romances, departures and scandals throughout the show's three seasons. Movoto.com has done some research to place a value on Downton Abbey.

With the 1,000 acres, 50-60 bedrooms, 25-30 bathrooms, a double library, stables, telephones, electricity and many more amenities in the 12,000-square-foot Downton Abbey, Movoto valued the Jacobethan chateau at $400 million.
