Don Francisco's 'Sabado Gigante' New Hosts: Legendary Hispanic TV Show Looking To Rejuvenate Image

The End Of Don Francisco In 'Sabado Gigante'?

Mario Kreutzberger has been an eminent figure in the world of Hispanic entertainment. The TV personality, better known as "Don Francisco" host of Univision’s legendary "Sabado Gigante,” might be preparing to say goodbye and give an opportunity to new talent.

Filling the shoes of such an important figure for the Latino community might seem difficult. The first brave people to attempt to break into this adventure will be actors and TV hosts Chiquinquirá Delgado and Julián Gil, reports People en Español magazine.

Starting next week, the Venezuelan and Puerto Rican artists will seek to rejuvenate the program and earn the affection of the public, who will ultimately determine if the presenters are a good fit for the project.

"After this celebration I have to reinvent and the program has to reinvent ... We're on it," said Don Francisco last October during the show’s 50th anniversary celebration. "We are looking for a younger audience, between ages 18 and 49, but without losing the customers we already have."

After 50 years on the air and a Guinness record for being the longest-running program in the world, this is the first time Sabado Gigante will showcase different main hosts besides Don Francisco, who recently turned 72.
