Lisa Howze Super Bowl Ad 'Better For Detroit' Announces Ambition For Mayor (VIDEO)

WATCH: Lisa Howze Ad Airs During Super Bowl

While one recent poll suggested that the campaign for Detroit's mayor in 2014 is a two-man race, Lisa Howze would beg to differ.

Howze, a CPA and state Rep. from Detroit who declared her candidacy last year, aired a 30-second commercial during Sunday night's Super Bowl to four million viewers across Metro Detroit. According to her campaign website, she and 100 supporters gathered at the city's 1917 American Bistro, with supporters tweeting the hashtag #LisaScores in celebration.

“Detroiters want change and a mayor that understands the changes they want to see; a city that’s in the black financially powered by strong, safe communities," Howze said in a statement. "I’m dedicated to delivering that to the residents of Detroit.”

Howze has been joined by former Detroit Corporation Counsel Krystal Crittendon, who announced her ambition to run for mayor of Detroit after being dismissed from her appointed position. Most of the focus so far has centered on Mike Duggan, former CEO of the Detroit Medical Center, and Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon (neither of whom have formally declared their candidacies). Mayor Dave Bing has not yet announced whether he plans to seek reelection.
