California Problems: Reddit Tackles The Trials And Tribulations Of Life In The Golden State (PHOTOS)

LOOK: Hilarious List Spoofs California's 'Biggest Problems'

Being a Californian ain't exactly easy.

We may have beautiful beaches, but most of them are too cold to actually swim in. Burning Man is only a short drive away, but we have to spend the rest of the year listening to people talk about the transcendent, perception-altering experiences they had at Burning Man. Arnold Schwarzenegger was our governor, but Arnold Schwarzenegger was our governor.

Yeah, living in California is something of a mixed bag. And unlike some states (we're looking at you, Texas), we're not too proud to admit there's a fair bit of bad mixed in with the good.

Which is why a group of Californians on Reddit created the "California Problems" subreddit page to vent about the trials and tribulations of living in the Golden State. Think of it as "hella first world problems."

These are serious issues for people without real problems. For example, what do you do when In-N-Out is closed and you have to settle for McDonald's? Or what if you wore shorts during the day and then it suddenly got cold at night (like it has virtually every day since time immemorial)?

Even Twitter has gotten into act, with two different accounts dedicated to complaining about the minor annoyances of California life. Although, absent from discussions about #CaliforniaProblems are mentions of the state's highest-in-the-nation poverty rate or that California now spends more on prisons than higher education.
