Lacrosse Hidden Ball Trick: Buffalo Bandits Fake Out Philadelphia Wings (VIDEO)

Ah, the old "hidden ball" trick.

The Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League executed the trick play on Friday when they visited Philadelphia to play the Wings.

Trailing 8-3 in the second period, Luke Wiles tossed the ball to teammate John Tavares, who was right next to him during a break in the game. But Wiles made sure none of his opponents saw the ball leave his stick. When the whistle blew, Wiles then acted as if he still had the ball and started running toward the net from the left side.

While all four Wings players on the field had their eyes on Wiles (Buffalo had a 5-on-4 advantage), Tavares attacked the net from the right side and fired the ball past the goalkeeper.

It took the Wings a moment to realize they had even been scored on, but it took the announcer a little longer.

The play would have been a lot cooler if Buffalo hadn't lost 13-8.
