Julianne Moore stopped briefly on the red carpet ahead of the Golden Globes to talk about playing Sarah Palin in "Game Change," the HBO film chronicling John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign.

"I had a tremendous amount of trepidation," she said. "When you're doing something on someone so well known in the news, it's a big hurdle to get over. But we worked really hard and and did a lot of research to be as accurate as possible."

Moore's performance as the failed vice presidential candidate earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie. She's up against Nicole Kidman, "Hemingway & Gellhorn"; Jessica Lange, "American Horror Story: Asylum"; Sienna Miller, "The Girl"; and Sigourney Weaver, "Political Animals."
