HaHa Clinton-Dix Interception Helps Alabama Dominate Notre Dame In BCS Title Game (VIDEO)

WATCH: Alabama's Absurd Interception

Trailing 28-0 heading into halftime, Notre Dame needed a big play early in the third quarter if it was to have any hope of making a comeback. On cue, the Irish drove into Alabama territory on their first drive of the second half. That drive did end with a BIG play.

Unfortunately for Notre Dame, that play was made by Alabama safety HaHa Clinton-Dix, with an assist from cornerback Dee Milliner.

Irish quarterback Everett Golson launched a deep pass to DaVaris Daniels down the right sideline. But Milliner was blanketing him and tapped the ball away. That's when Clinton-Dix ran over and made a diving catch while somehow keeping one foot in bounds.

Alabama took over inside its own 5-yard line. Five minutes and 37 seconds later, Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron threw one of his four touchdown passes.
