Dye Fabric With Wine To Add New Life To Old Linens

Well, this is a surprising tip.

We’ve received a few bottles of wine over the last couple of weeks thanks to the holidays. And while we’ll eventually get to sipping most of them, we’ve also been thinking of what to do with the ones that don’t necessarily taste all that great. And EcoSalon found a fabulous way to dye fabric with wine to add new life to old linens.

First, heat red wine in a pot. Then, place in your fabric and stir it with a spoon (as you would a soup). Continue stirring for 10 minutes. Next, allow the material to cool. Finally, rinse it with water.

We’re loving this new use for wine, especially since it helps add some flair to our home decor.
