30 Days Of Holiday LGBT Giving: Lost-n-Found Youth, Inc.

Note: This holiday season, in lieu of a traditional holiday gift guide, we'll be featuring a different LGBT organization each day for our "30 Days Of LGBT Giving." Check back tomorrow for a look at another incredible group that's working tirelessly on behalf of the LGBT community.

Youth homelessness in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community is an unfortunate reality, making the holiday season that much more difficult and lonesome for those who are out on the streets with nowhere to go. That's why organizations like Lost-n-Found Youth, Inc. in Atlanta exist.

Lost-n-Found is Atlanta's "only organization actively taking Atlanta's LGBT homeless youth directly off the streets." The organization does this through its hands-on, on-the-ground primary services which include: a 24/7 hotline, answering not just phone calls, but texts and emails as well, and face-to-face meetings by going directly to the streets and making sure the homeless youth have some shelter, clothes and food.

On Saturday, Dec. 22, the LGBT organization will be hosting "A Very Brady Trailer Park n Possum Christmas" holiday event, where proceeds will benefit Lost-n-Found and its efforts to make the holidays brighter for Atlanta's homeless LGBT youth.
