Houston Rockets Dreidel Song: Classic Hanukkah Anthem Butchered By NBA Team (VIDEO)

Houston Rockets Attempt To Sing Dreidel Song, Fail Miserably

Just in time to kill your holiday spirit comes this video featuring members of the Houston Rockets attempting to sing a classic Hanukkah song. Suffice it to say, it does not go well.

In the video above, Rockets players such as Jeremy Lin, Carlos Delfino, and Patrick Patterson try to give their individual renditions of the Dreidel Song, only to trip over monosyllabic words like "play" or get lost in the straight rhythm of the song. (To his credit, Patterson tries to turn the latter to his favor, syncopating the repeated "Dreidel" line in his own personal remix.)

The highlight of the video, however, is definitely Delfino, who doesn't exactly succeed but is definitely having the time of his life trying.

There are currently at least two NBA players with Jewish heritage: Cavaliers forward Omri Casspi and Knicks big man Amar'e Stoudemire.

Perhaps basketball players should stick to spreading holiday cheer using the very skills that made them famous.
