Stephen Colbert Skewers Denny's Hobbit Menu (VIDEO)

If you've tuned into the Colbert Report recently, you know that Stephen Colbert -- a self-described "Hobbit head" -- has been geeking out on his program's Hobbit Week, welcoming stars of the upcoming Hobbit flick as guests and dishing about all things Lord of the Rings.

And nothing is off limits. The comedian turned his attention last night to Denny's Hobbit-themed menu, which Grub Grade profiled for us back in October.

It's clear that Colbert's love for Tolkien's books hasn't prevented him from making fun of things that are, well, ripe for parody.

He describes the menu, filled with items like "Frodo's Pot Roast Skillet," "The Ring Burger" and "Gandalf's Gobble Melt," as "a delicious tribute to a beloved children's book, though the breakfast has a much darker ending."

If you're wondering why this promotion exists, Colbert explains: "Yes, eat like a hobbit because at Denny's you can't eat like a human."
