Whether you're a nobody or not yet a celebrity, it doesn't mean you can't make some big bucks off the fame game.
Michaela Weeks, a Britney Spears look-alike living in Ilkeston, U.K., rakes in around $500,000 per year as a professional Britney impersonator, The Sun reports.
The 24 year old, who has impersonated the pop singer for the past eight years in appearances around the world, owns two houses, designer clothes and sports cars, according to The Sun.
"If I ever get to meet [Britney], I want to thank her for giving me this life," Weeks told The Sun.
Weeks makes musical appearances with "live vocals" and "replica dance routines," according to her website, which says she is available to perform at weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and other types of events.
Spears has been making a comeback of late. She recently collaborated with singer will.i.am on his new song "Scream and Shout," according to MTV.
Weeks is not the only impersonator making a living off of an uncanny resemblance. Impersonators of the singers Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Cher, Elvis and Frank Sinatra make musical appearances around the country, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
President Obama look-alike Louis Ortiz, from the New York City borough of the Bronx, has been impersonating the commander-in-chief since 2008 to pay the bills. And Obama impersonator Maxwell Price is estimated to receive income higher than Obama's own salary, now that Obama has been reelected. Other actors impersonate politicians such as Mitt Romney, Bill Clinton, John Quincy Adams, and Teddy Roosevelt.
