Dubstep Christmas Light Show At Cadger Family Home Sets 40,000 Lights To Skrillex (VIDEO)

WATCH: 40,000 Christmas Lights, Set To Dubstep

It would be impossible for Santa to accidentally skip the Cadgers' house. Not because the Meridian, Idaho, family has a lot of Christmas cheer (though they certainly do), but because they choose to express the holiday sentiment a bit differently.

Christmas planning at the Cadgers' starts two months early and involves laying out more than 2 miles of extension cords to decorate the family home with nearly 40,000 lights. Then they set it all to dubstep.

Last year, the family synced their flashing Christmas light show to "First Of The Year (Equinox)" by Skrillex.

Following tradition, this year the Cadgers again have another dubstep Christmas display, set to a mix of "Bangarang" and "Cinema," also by Skrillex.

Each minute of music requires 3 to 4 hours of programming, reports NWCN.

According to the family's website, the display is powered by four 16-channel "Light O Rama" controllers hooked up to a computer. They make an effort to use energy-efficient LED lights.

A YouTube description notes the whole ensemble is put together by a father and his 17-year-old son.

For those lucky enough to visit the display in person (or unlucky enough to live across the street), the lights are active on Friday and Saturday night from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. the rest of the week. The Cadgers ask that visitors bring food to donate to the Idaho Food Bank.
